CAMERA, QR CODE SCANNING AND FACE DATA
Our application uses the device camera to support employee attendance tracking through QR code scanning and facial image capture.
How the camera is used
The camera is used only in the following situations:
- When an employee performs Check-In, the camera is used to scan a QR code and capture a selfie
- When an employee performs Check-Out, the same process is repeated
These actions are initiated only by the user and require explicit interaction.
FACE DATA (FACIAL IMAGES)
Our application collects facial images (selfies) of users during check-in and check-out actions.
USE OF FACE DATAFace data is used strictly for:
- Verifying the identity of the employee
- Ensuring that the person performing check-in/check-out is the authorized user
- Preventing fraudulent attendance actions
In certain cases, facial images may be reviewed manually by authorized personnel for verification purposes.
We do not use facial data for biometric profiling, automated facial recognition systems, or any purposes unrelated to attendance verification.
Purpose of data collection
The collected data is used strictly for:
- Recording employee check-in and check-out times
- Verifying that the person checking in/out is the actual employee
- Allowing HR personnel to review attendance records and verify identity when necessary
DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION
- Facial images are securely stored on protected servers using encryption
- Facial images are retained for a maximum of 7 days
- After 7 days, facial images are automatically and permanently deleted
- Attendance data (such as timestamps) may be retained for reporting and HR purposes
- All data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with restricted access
Data sharing
- Photos and attendance data are not shared with third parties.
- Access to this data is restricted to authorized HR personnel only.
Background access
The camera is never accessed in the background. Camera access occurs only when the user actively uses the check-in or check-out feature.

Our application may request access to the device's location services (GPS) to verify the physical presence of an employee during check-in and check-out actions.
HOW LOCATION DATA IS USED
Our application may request access to the device’s location to verify the physical presence of an employee.
Location data is accessed only when the user:
- Performs Check-In
- Performs Check-Out
- Confirm the employee is within an allowed workplace area
- Prevent fraudulent attendance from unauthorized locations
SCOPE
- Location is not tracked continuously
- No background location tracking is performed
- Location is used only during active user actions
STORAGE
- Location data is used only for real-time verification
- Location data is not permanently stored
- Location data is not shared with third parties
USER CONTROL
- Users can control camera and location permissions via device settings
- Permissions are requested only when required for app functionality
DATA SHARING
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.
Data may only be accessed by:
- Authorized personnel within the client organization (e.g. HR)
- Authorized system administrators for operational support
Data may also be disclosed if required by law.
